GW5 What Happens Next?

Benteke's Injury
Ouch. A major headache for 1 in 3 FPL managers. He's rated as 75% chance to play on the official Fantasy Premier Leauge site. That's not too bad is it? Lambert has also hinted he's not too worried. So, should you be? Well, maybe not by the injury itself, but now seems a good time to sell, with either a straight swap to Sturridge or Giroud. A switch to Lukaku or up to Rooney perhaps. We'd do it.

Super Baines
Everton look to be a very well-rounded team going forward and in defence and Baines could hit 200 points this season. He's worth it in our opinion and has great immediate fixtures. He's a rich man's Coleman - but can you afford him?

Oscar vs. Hazard
Mourinho is building his team with Oscar behind the striker and wants Hazard to adjust to playing out on the wings.  A look at both player's stats tells us there's not much between them in terms of threat and creativity, plus Oscar has had less minutes, so the big news is Oscar is cheaper and actually scoring goals. Always nice. The other downer for Hazard is Chelsea's general lack of fluidity at the moment and shelling out £9m+ looks hard to swallow.

Ozil = Assist Machine
4 assists in 2 games. Blimey. He's ranked 2nd in xAssists in our Player Ratings despite less than half the minutes of other players. One could argue that games against Sunderland and Stoke are not the barometer on which to correctly gauge a player, and goals are better than assist so don't sell your mother just yet. However, in relative terms a closer look at the numbers reveal Ozil has been responsible for creating 40% of Arsenal's goalscoring opportunity. Phenomenal.

Michu = Goal Machine
Talking of goals, here's you man. He's now 2nd behind only Giroud for overall attacking stats, and his impact up-front has not been dampened by Bony at all. In fact, he looks better than ever and Swanse have a good run coming up.

RVP?
Yeah, Van Persie didn't start. Rooney did, and scores. Aguero scores two. Suarez is back . Some real key decisions to make at the top end of the FPL market. What to do? A move to Suarez looks really good right now. Liverpool need him and have the best attacking outlook (see Fixture Analyser). Later this week we're going to look closer at the potential impact of Suarez on Sturridge as well as Rooney on RVP.

Our GW5 Player Ratings have been updated, as are the cumulative ratings for GW1-5. With 5 weeks of data now under our belts we can start to make some conclusions as to what's what. Stay tuned for more analysis this week.
