GW5's One Night Stand - Samuel Eto'o

First up we've updated our Projections for GW5 and the next six gameweeks. Check 'em out here

This post is not about the studied application of mathematical modelling to get a 5% edge in your minileague. No, this is about a player who can pull the pants down on your rivals this weekend.

No one's talking about him, hardly anyone owns him, just 1%, but could all that have changed after Saturday's evening kick off? We are, of course, talking about Samuel Eto'o (the clue was the picture, and he post title).

His debut last week against Everton will be one to forget and he looked a tad rusty after 2 years earning silly money in the Russian League. Still, he should have scored one, if not two. Guilty of missing some simple chances and denied a certain goal after a superhuman block by regular human Gareth Barry.

A club of Chelsea and Mourinho's profile will always attract the media's attention and criticism following a couple of bad results. What we think is more important this weekend is who Chelsea are playing. Fulham are hardly in tip top condition themselves and yet to keep a clean sheet. Their likely centre-back pairing of Hangeland and Senderos have nowhere near enough pace to handle a player like Eto'o.

There's a rumbling he won't start after playing two games already this week for Chelsea but he needs games to get his match-fitness up to Premier Leauge speed.

if you like a big slice of punt with your fantasy chips then sell Benteke and bring in Eto'o. Someone will end up with the trousers pulled down, that's for sure.

Good luck for GW5 :)
