There are selection rules for the team. We only pick one player from each club's defence or their attack to try and broaden the picks. To increase the coverage we'll also do a B-Team.
Here is the A-Team. Note that we do not tinker with the projections or selection at all, we simply let the data do the talking. We do though exclude players who we do not think will start.

No surprises that Aguero is the captain. You may be surprised by some of the other picks though. Liverpool's defence is not actually that good and Arsenal are of course pretty neat going forward so Giroud (VC) should not come as a shock. Torres looks hot at the moment but there's a 'data risk' with him as he has not played a lot of minutes but we think he could do well anyway.
In midfield we are pleased to see Amalifitano make the cut, although he is an injury concern so Sessegnon will step in to his shoes should he not start.
Paulinho is a major anomaly at the moment in the data and projections and we honestly don't know what to make of him. He's had 29 shots this season, tied in 5th with Van Persie. Even better, he's ranked 4th in shots from Zone A/B with 13 attempts in what we call the 'danger zone' (directly in front of goal). Initially his problem was shot accuracy but that has improved in the last few games. So erroneous is his data that he's in the team despite his defensive opponent Baines getting in the team too. We'll have to see how this one pans out.
In order to broaden the picks below we have done a quick B-Team with a strict selection criteria imposed to only allow players from a club's attack/defence that do not already feature in the A-Team. It's a hard life for the have-nots.
