When we were tinkering with our own FPL team for this week's newsletter (did you get it?) it's all too apparent that there are still a host of unknowns that will shape the coming Fantasy Premier League season. We thought we'd offload some of these thoughts on the blog today.
- Suarez to Arsenal? Love him or loathe him a move to Arsenal at £11m in FPL will propel the Uruguayan even closer to must-have fantasy status from GW7 (after his ban) and cement Sturridge (or Aspas?) in the Liverpool line-up
- Suarez NOT to Arsenal? Failure to sign a new star striker at the Emirates will leave the door open for someone like Giroud at £8.5m to prove his doubters wrong. He's in great form pre-season.
- Rooney to Chelsea? At £10.5m Rooney will be another near-essential as a nailed-on goalscoring centre forward in a goalscoring team. It'll also leave a hole to fill in United's attacking lineup (Kagawa/Fabregas?)
- Rooney NOT to Chelsea? If Wayne stays at United you can forget about him as a fantasy asset but instead turn your eyes to Stamford Bridge. Can Lukaku (£8m) stake a claim under Mourinho?
There's still a lot of water to go under the bridge. The pre-season tinker with your team, when there is almost infinite possibility and not so much at stake (yet), is a time to be enjoyed. Have some fun!
