Surprises? Firstly, Giroud in the line-up over Rooney or someone like Soldado. The data driving this decision is a combination of Arsenal's away strength, which we rate as the best away attack in the league and United's poor home defence, ranked 6th worse. Next surprise is the omission of any Tottenham defender versus Newcastle. All credit to Newcastle for this one.
Note also that Sturridge is the no.2 pick this week but doesn't make the team with Suarez already representing the Reds.
Having done this exercise for a few weeks now we've noticed a trend at the back in that defender's with a little bit of goal threat will often edge out those with a better clean sheet chance, although this will always depend the chance of the opposition conceding too.
